Photos from a pasture walk on 3/19/06 to look at calves prior to weaning.

Orville who is referenced below is a Fall 2 year old bull we own who we have used for cleanup the past two breeding seasons.  He is a Son of our Madison bull.  Orville was our top performing bull last year at Culpeper but did not Qualify for the sale because his Yearling EPD was one pound too low for the sale cutoff.  Man, am I glad.  Orville isn't the prettiest bull we ever raised, but he got it done in the calf department.  Orville has three of our home grown pathfinder cows in his close up pedigree.  We have more Orville calves due next fall.

	5491 - An Orville Calf nursing his Nightwalker daughter mother.  She is one of our tallest cows.
	Cows and heifer calves enjoy the sun and wish for grass in early March.  A little rain would be nice too.
	An old Westwind Rito cow who is a pathfinder and her Grid Maker bull calf. He will be one of the two heaviest bulls at weaning. Grid Maker really did a job on these older cows
	A Grid Maker heifer out of an old Sleep Easy Daughter who is another of our old pathfinder cows. this heifer will find her way to the replacement lot.
	5490 Bad picture of one of our best looking bull prospects.  He has a much better quarter than the picture shows.  He is an Orville son out of a young  036 daughter.  Maybe a future herd bull as he is sired by 3 generations of our bulls with three of our pathfinders in his tabulation.
	Another keeper Grid Maker Daughter out of an old home bred cow who has always raised better than average calves. Wish I was a better photographer as the photos are not as good as the calves.
	An Orville Daughter out of a first calf Predestined daughter. She has a pass to the replacement lot even before weaning weights are taken.  She will adjust well too.
